Following on from the launch event in Nottingham last month, Brownswood Music and Gilles Peterson’s new talent discovery and development big idea, Searching For The Perfect Beat: Future Bubblers' is back with more live music vibes and the official Salford launch of the project on Wednesday 13th May at one of the UK’s leading independent Art Hubs, The Islington Mill.

Performances on the night from Free Wize Men, El Statiko, Contours and Pareidolia plus an introduction to the project.

Graham’s fun-filled fundraiser for Rosemere Cancer Charity. An evening of live entertainment, music and hotpot supper. A St Annes great-grand-father has organised a fun night to thank those who treated him for cancer. Graham Smith is holding the fund-raiser on July 4 at Garstang’s Wyrebank Banqueting Suite in aid of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation to support its work at the Rosemere Cancer Centre, in Preston. In 2012, Graham, a widower and great-grand-father of two, was diagnosed with and underwent treatment for prostate cancer. He is now in remission. Graham had a successful professional singing career in his younger years, fronting the band Sum People, supporting numerous bands of the day. He will be on stage with fellow musician David Littlewood – the pair regularly perform songs from the 60s through to the 90s in clubs and pubs across the North West. The Pressmen's re-union concert on the 22nd March 2014 is a complete sell out. All tickets for the event were sold within 6 days of going on sale. The band would like to thank everyone for their fantastic response. All proceeds from this event will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
