The band was formed in 1967 and played in and around Manchester, Bolton and Bury until late 1969.
Graham and Eric originally started rehearsing as a duo then advertised for a drummer, Tony joined as a result and finally Pete joined to complete the line-up.
Rehearsals were at the Lass-O-Gowrie pub in Charles Street, Manchester, where the band also played a Friday & Saturday residency for over 12 months. Apart from directly sourced bookings the band also worked through the Paul Ingham/Felix Clark agency.
Pete emigrated to Canada and Graham to Australia, both in the mid to late 1970s whilst Tony and Eric still live in the Greater Manchester area. We lost touch with Mike Harrison.
The formal photographs in the gallery were taken as part of a publicity photo session the band arranged; the venue was Longford Park in Stretford and the photographer was from Stephenson & Johnson
who were at 1177a Chester Road, Stretford (Tel LON 2283). No; it's not my phenomenal memory; the address and telephone number are stamped on the back of the last few prints that I have!
I visited the park again last year to take some photographs of the bandstand to send on to Graham in Australia but there was no sign of it. I checked on the Trafford Council photo archives and found that it was dismantled in 1972 and now stands at the Crich Transport Museum in Derbyshire!
