Goodbyes

Sadly, as the years progress, we lose our friends.  Some we are able to farewell but others  pass without our knowledge.

It has been suggested (thanks Fred and Keith) that we mark their passing on the site.

Initially, please use the comments section and I will work out a better option.

My father David Solomon, lead guitarist notably for the Sabres and Proud Paws passed away in April 2009. Would love to hear people’s memories of him!

I just heard the sad news that Graham Lee Caunce lately passed away.. We know him as the leadguitarist of a.a. The Scorpions and the Hermits. Now he is reünited with his beloved Pauline.

Thank you for your music and your friendship. Rest in peace, Graham.

Hi Paul. Not been on the site for a while and just browsing through was saddened to see (comment on Henry Warnicks Magic Elixir) that Tony Lingard passed away 2 years ago. Like you I worked with him during the seventies. He was a great bloke and I have a lot of fond memories of that period.

Brian Smith legendary Manchester/NW photographer. Brian died in mid December and his funeral is January 12th in Northwich. This is from the Guardian.
