Reslo
Sadly no one seems interested in mikes. How can you fail to love the Reslo? Any Reslo (or mike) stories???
I advertised my old trusty Reslo mike from the sixties on eBay and mentioned that it had been genuinely used at Liverpool Cavern with my band Outrage.
Out of the blue i received an email from Olaf Owre stating that he had been looking for years for our lost Kim Fowley tapes which led to him doing a feature on Outrage on this very website. Small world or what?
I also remember that when the ribbon was damaged most group members made feeble attempts to replace it with one fashioned from foil chocolate wrappers as the genuine replacement was around £6 or probably guineas - which was a whole bookings money for most of us.

We (The Square Routes) always dreaded the guy in the audience who insisted on getting up to sing with the band. Despite 'don't blow into the mic' they always did and another ribbon went. We seemed to have a Reslo in A1 for repair nearly every week!
In the end we bought a Beyer for the lead vocal mic and it saved us a fortune in the long run!
