George Best Boutique (Sale)

It was out of town but George Best opened a boutique on the main road in Sale, just down the road from Old Trafford, in early 1966. If you often hung about he was often to be seen and I hung about often!!

Lived in Sale and bought two collarless style shirts from his shop when it had just opened and George served me. Wasn't into football and didn't even say Hi George or get his autograph or keep the receipt. My wife threw the shirts out some years later.

Bought a “flower power” trouser suit with matching skirt (navy with white daisies) from George Best Boutique - late 60’s I think
