Co-operative Hall (Middleton)
The Co-Operative Hall was at 17-21 Long Street, Middleton Village, Lancashire and opened in 1871.
This venue was built in 1871 and was known by locals as The Co-Op Hall.
It closed down shortly after The Beatles played here on Thursday, April 11, 1963 due to the fact that 300 screaming and dancing fans unknowingly caused structural damage to the floor and brickwork of the upstairs hall.
So, The Co-Operative Hall closed in April 1963 and the upper two stories of the hall were demolished in late 1963.
