George VI (Atherton)

The pub had discos on Thursday nights around 1973. The DJ was a local lad called Bobby (Dee) Derbyshire who played at the Twisted Wheel. Introduced us to the Northern Soul records. The pub was away from the town centre on the Hag Fold Estate but was always popular.
