The Whiskey A GoGo Disco Club was at The Higher Broughton Assembly Rooms, 300 Great Cheetham Street, Salford 7, Cheshire and opened on Saturday, April 28, 1962.
 
Singer Elkie Brooks (b. Elaine Bookbinder, Sunday, February 25, 1945, 1 Castleton Road, Broughton, Salford, Lancashire, England) used to play here with The Dave Ellis Group.
 
On Friday, January 31, 1964 saw the re-opening of the club with Frank Kelly and the Hunters. Advertised in The Evening News and Chronicle of Friday, January 31, 1964 as Whiskey a Gogo Disc Club 300 Gt. Cheetham Street, Salford 7. Grand Reopening Night Friday, Jan. 31st from 7 30 p.m. Fontana Recording Stars of '' Thank Your Lucky Stars '' Frank Kelly And The Hunters.
 
It later became The Disc A GoGo Club which opened on Saturday, September 26, 1964 with The Pretty Things.
 
Later The Disc A GoGo Club became The Riverboat Club ​in 1965.
