The Golden Garter (Rowlands Way, Wythenshawe)

The Golden Garter Cabaret Club was in Rowlands Way, Wythenshawe, Manchester 22 and opened on Monday, October 7, 1968 with Bruce Forsyth supported by The Foggy Dew'O.
 
The club was facing The Civic Centre, Wythenshawe and was formerly a bowling alley. It had a lavish gold and crimson carpet.
 
The resident band was the seven-piece Shep's Banjo Boys. 
 
The club was managed by Mike Robbins (b. Michael Robbins).
